In better support and coordination of the joint efforts of the partnership/team of Arizona Alpha Local Alumni, Chapter, House Corporation and Scholarship Foundation, the Foundation Trustees at their Friday, April 28 2005, meeting acted to double the old long-standing semester Base scholarship award from $100 to $200 per qualifying member and double the semester Bonus award from $50 to $100 per qualifying member. The increase was effective with Fall '05 semester financial scholarships based on Spring '05 semester academic achievement.
The following requirements must continue to be met:
Individuals who received financial scholarships for Fall '08 for Spring '08 academic achievement are:
| Evan Canham | Base and Bonus | $300 |
| Eric Eisenstadt | Base and RUC | $700 |
| Jeffrey Kiser | Base and Bonus | $300 |
| Scott Molos | Base, Bonus, and RUC | $800 |
Individuals who received financial scholarships for Spring '09 for Fall '08 academic achievement are:
| Christopher Brunk | Base | $200 |
| Evan Canham | Base | $200 |
| Eric Eisenstadt | Base and RUC | $700 |
| Jeffrey Kiser | Base and Bonus | $300 |
| Scott Molos | Base,Bonus, and RUC | $800 |
| Michael Bishop Smith | Base and RUC | $700 |
| Justin White | Base and RUC | $700 |
A new scholarship category was created to reward responsible upper classmen (RUC) who have (1) qualified for at least base financial scholarship for the semester, (2) have lived in the Chapter House for at least the prior two semesters, (3) have timely paid their house bills, and (4) are deemed RUC by the Local Alumni representatives involved in Chapter matters. Its purpose is to reward RUC members who have contributed as role models and mentors living in the Chapter House and continue to do so as Juniors and Seniors. The amount each semester is $500 per qualified upper classman. It may be an incentive for more upper classmen to move into the House and excel academically in addition to being well rounded individuals involved in University and Fraternity life. It may assist in Rush activities and help distinguish the Chapter and Fraternity from other organizations.
The Foundation Trustees retain the options to change the amounts, scholarship categories and eligibility requirements from time to time depending upon various matters related to the size, earnings, pay outs and successful solicitation of Foundation assets. They welcome continued comment and recommendations from involved Local Alumni, Chapter and House Corporation members and want to do the best job possible to coordinate the Foundation actions with the other team groups.
